What causes "Cold Sore" and How to Treat them?

Have you ever heard about what causes “Cold Sore” and how to treat them?
Cold sores are caused by a virus called herpes. Herpes is one of the most common viral infections in the world. The medical name for the specific virus that causes cold sores is herpes simplex. There are two types of herpes simplex infection. Although both can cause cold sores around a person's mouth, but most are caused by HSV-1.
(called HSV-1 for short).
HSV-1 is so common that most people get infected with it. They can catch it by kissing a person with a cold sore or sharing a drinking glass or utensils.
Kids who get infected may get cold sores occasionally for the rest of their lives that’s because even after the sores themselves dry up and go away, the virus stays in the body, waiting around for another time to come out and cause more sores. When a cold sore reappears, it is often in the same place as the previous one.
The blisters break, leaving tender sores that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.
From my experience, if you put some cream (you can buy at any pharmacy), it could take about 3-4 days to heal. I once asked the doctor what cause it and how I can treat myself not to get infected. They told me if you have enough rest and sleep, not stress out and do more exercises, you won’t get easily infected.
Now you know What Causes Cold Sores, and what you can do to treat them.
